Summary:
Duties include performing general building and grounds maintenance, completing machine repairs, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting including; lasers, brake presses, CNC machines, saws, hand tools and lathes.
Key Areas of Accountability:
Ensures production machines are up and running by communicating with operators and troubleshooting so there is not a lapse in productivity.
Communicates with technical support to explain problems and take advice for solutions to reduce machine downtime and repair cost.
Thoroughly completes building maintenance activities such as plumbing, heating and electrical repairs to service our internal and external customers and keep day to day operations running.
Proactively reduces machine downtime and repair costs by following the manufacturer's recommendations for scheduled maintenance.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Candidates should possess a minimum of three years of previous experience in a similar role.
Electrical background to include running conduit and possessing an understanding of industrial electricity.
Must understand and follow our lock out tag out program.
Successful candidates must have excellent problem-solving abilities, possess a positive attitude and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in interacting with a variety of departments and vendors.
Must be a self-starter who takes action and see job to completion with minimal supervision.
Although there are core work hours, must be flexible to stay with the job until work is complete.
Minimum Requirements:
3 years' experience in a machine maintenance/technician role Experience with CNC Lathes/mills, press brakes, manual welding equipment, laser cutting equipment, grinders, hand tools Experience with facility maintenance (i.
e.
compressors and compressor maintenance) Experienced in light electrical work Prior experience as a machine operator in a job/fabrication shop is a plus and desired.
